This Wine: Nouveau style red wine from the south of France! Much lighter than what you would normally expect from a Roussillon red, both in terms of alcohol and body, with juicy and crunchy red berry fruit alongside a subtle hint of funk A lovely southern twist on the Beaujolais classic.
Notes on the Winemaker: Les Foulards Rouge is the natural wine project of Jean-François Nicq in Montesquieu-des-Albères, Roussillom, right near the border with Spain. He grew up in Northern France but moved to this area after meeting natural winemaking legends such as Thierry Puzelat (Clos du Tue-Boeuf) and Eric Pfiffering (L'Anglore) who encouraged him to start his own path in the viticulture world. He loves making delicate and balanced wines that reflect the Pyrenees terroir.
