Winemaking: Organic Syrah and Viognier grapes from the vines of Le Mazel were harvested by hand. Each variety underwent slow, direct press for a couple of days. Fermentation with indigenous yeast. Blended and then aged in old barrels for 9 months. No fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural rosé made with a blend of red and white grapes. Deep and dark fruit with a strong aromatic profile, this represents the style that Anders now prefers to create. Easy going but at the same time full of character. Can work with or without food.

Notes on the Winemaker: Anders Frederick Steen & Anne Bruun Blauert hail from Denmark but settled in the Ardeche to focus on their winemaking dream in back in 2013. Since then they have become one of the most sought after names in the natural wine world. They produce wines that are honest and representative of this wild region. The pair don't look to recreate the same wine each vintage and instead adapt to whatever conditions a new year brings.
