Winemaking: Organic Trebbiano grapes were harvested by hand. 1 week maceration in  concrete tanks.  Fermentation with indigenous yeast. In Spring, must from the original harvest that had been frozen was added to the wine in order to begin a re-fermentation process inside the bottle. No filtration or fining and just a touch of added sulphur on bottling.

This Wine: "All Purpose" is a side project of Il Farneto created to produce great value, everyday table wines still made with low intervention and within the natural wine philosophy. This is sparkling white Pet Nat style (albeit with the slightly different Italian technique) with zippy citrus and mineral flavours. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Il Farneto is a winery situated in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna between Reggio Emilia and Modena. The 35 hectare farm was established in the 90s according to organic principles and is now run by Tomasso Turci and Marco Bertoni who have adopted biodynamic techniques in recent years. The wines are made using local grape varieties and always offer amazing value for money.
