Winemaking: Organic white grape varieties were harvested by hand and directly pressed in whole bunches. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in a combination of old barrels, steel tanks and ceramic vessels where the wine also aged before blending. No fining or filtration and just a small amount of added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural white wine with a medium body. Brilliant complexity at this price point with floral and mineral elements alongside white peach and citrus. Elegant and precise with a long finish. A perfect partner for fish or white meat dishes.
Notes on the Winemaker: Petra and Balasz Sziegl produce natural wine in the southern Hungarian region of Hajos-Baja not far from the river Danube. Petra mainly works in the cellar whilst Balasz tends to the 9 hectares of vines and their skills combine to create pure and graceful wines that authentically reflect terroir.
