Winemaking: Organic Xarel Lo grapes were harvested by hand. Short period of skin contact before fermentation with indigenous yeast. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur. 

This Wine: Natural orange wine with a light to medium body. This is an aromatic expression of old vine Xarel Lo with delicate texture provided from the skin contact. The tropical fruit is much more reminiscent of Muscat / Moscatel than any Xarel Lo we have ever tasted. Great to share with friends as an aperitif. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Lucy Chilvers grew up in Cambridge before working in the natural wine scene in London and Brighton. She was inspired to go further and become a winemaker herself which eventually led her the Penedès region of Catalonia where she now farms 4.5 hectares of old vines. Grape varieties are primarily indigenous and her vineyards are treated with biodynamic techniques. No additions in the cellar.
