Durrmann Delivery!
Christmas has come early! A new haul of wines from Yann Durrmann has arrived in the UK just in time for the festive season...
Muscat d'Alsace 2024
This is the first time that Yann has made a still wine from the Muscat variety and we couldn't be more excited. Perfect levels of acidity in the grapes encouraged him to produce this tropical and aromatic wine that is still full of tension. No skin contact, just direct press. Only 1100 bottle made.
KRAX 2024
It feels like a long time since we last saw Yann's skin contact cuvée in stock but finally, KRAX is back! A maceration of Riesling grapes that results in a super fresh wine full of minerals, subtle spice and citrus peel aromas.
Zegwur 2024
Skin contact Gewurztraminer with a freshness and acidity is not an easy achievement but Yann always nails it. Tropical and aromatic but dry and with none of the bitterness sometimes associated with the variety, this is a unique wine and still one of our favourite Durrmann cuvées.
Noctambulle 2022
A re-stock of a wine that was a huge hit when it first landed around 18 months ago! This is the first vintage of a Pinot Noir / Pinot Gris Pet Nat made with grapes from a neighbouring organic grower. Loads of fresh fruit and just the right amount of funk. Sparkling red wine at Christmas feels like a great idea!
Grizzling 2024
Riesling Pet Nat that has become a favourite among HL customers since it first arrived on the scene a few years ago. This is the new vintage and is tasting just as fresh and mineral as usual.
Rouge de Pinot Noir 2024
Possibly the most underrated of Yann's wines in our opinion. Light but beautifully concentrated and always has a great balance of fruity and savoury notes. Also ages amazingly well. We save bottles of every vintage and are looking forward to opening a 2020 soon!
Pinot Noir Rouge Gorge 2024
Yann's negotiant Pinot Noir, made with organic fruit from a neighbour. Lighter than the Rouge de Pinot Noir and with an extra touch of wildness. Really fun and great slightly chilled.
Plenty to enjoy over the coming weeks...
Happy drinking!
