New Arrivals from Burgundy

We are excited to receive new wines from two of Burgundy's rising stars. It's interesting that when trying wines from this famous and much-celebrated region, the prices always come with a "Burgundy tax". That's why they really have to be special for us to buy and these two bottles definitely fit that bill.

Vezelay Les Champs Cadet 2023 - Domaine La Mutine

Vezelay Les Champs Cadet 2023 Chardonnay Domaine La Mutine Jean Paul Pando French Organic Natural White Wine Burgundy Bourgogne France

Jean-Paul Pando only set up Domaine La Mutine in 2022 but is already making beautiful natural wines. Situated in Vezelay, in the northern part of Burgundy, this is a cooler region that is suffering less from climate change. Therefore you can expect plenty of freshness in this Chardonnay to compliment the body and texture on display. With no use of oak in the winemaking or ageing processes, this wine instead shines with a purity of citrus fruit and minerals followed by a honeyed finish. Wonderful!

Bourgogne Rouge 2024 - Les Flaneurs

Pinot Noir Bourgogne Rouge 2024 Les Flaneurs French organic natural red wine Burgundy France

Les Flaneurs is the tiny winemaking project of Welshman Laurence Cuthbertson and Nina Kunz who hails from Switzerland. The pair studied under some of the natural wine world's most respected names such as Domaine Dandelion before producing their first cuvées in 2023. They currently purchase fruit from select organic growers in Burgundy and this semi-carbonic maceration Pinot Noir is light to medium bodied with delicate perfumed aromas and intricate fruity and savoury notes.

Two examples of new wave Burgundy for you to experience...

Happy drinking
