Wine Club 36 Winners
The 36th edition of Highbury Library Wine Club was a Christmas Special! We presented 3 wines deemed as family friendly for the dinner table and 3 wines that might not be.
At the end of the night, drinkers had to vote for their favourite wine to share with loved ones and then their favourite wine that they would just drink themselves

Sense Pressa took both prizes! Winemaker Marius Long has managed to create something for everyone with his red Chachacha 2024 cuvée made from Syrah grapes. A medium bodied red with elegance and finesse and a great concentration of dark fruit, black olives and pencil shavings, this would be a real crowd pleaser on Christmas day.
Allo Allo 2024 was voted as the best option that might not be such a hit with with the whole family so you might just sneak off to drink it by yourself. Made from Macabeo grapes sourced from an organic grower nearby and given 2 weeks on the skins, this is something very unique! We have already raved about the arrival of this wine here but you can expect to taste almost every fruit under the sun, including red and black fruit! Almost feels other-wordly.
Got a few bottles left in stock at time of writing so you can stock up for Christmas now!
Wine Club will return at the end of January and tickets will go on sale in the first week of the new year.
Until then, happy drinking!
