Great natural wine doesn’t have to push past the £30 mark. Finding low-intervention bottles that deliver genuine character, clean winemaking, and pure drinkability at an accessible price point is always a thrill.

We’ve just added loads of new bottles to our shop shelves, each priced at £25 or under. From vibrant Catalan whites to crunchy, herb-laced French reds, here are five wines worth pulling a cork on this week.

1. Bodega Clandestina – El Soci 2025 (£24.00)

Region: Alt Penedès, Catalunya, Spain

Grape: Macabeo (Viura)

Wild Scale: 2/5

Ferran Lacruz is one of the most exciting young natural winemakers working in Catalunya today. El Soci ("The Partner") is his négoce cuvée, made with organic Macabeo grapes carefully sourced from a neighbouring grower in Alt Penedès. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and bottled completely unfiltered with zero added sulphites, it stays true to Ferran’s zero-zero ethos while offering an approachable, incredibly fresh profile. Expect clean citrus, green apple and a fine mineral backbone that makes it an easy win for casual weeknight drinking or seafood pairings.

2. Larural – Ull de Lebre 2023 (£22.00)

Region: Tarragona, Catalunya, Spain

Grape: Tempranillo (Ull de Llebre)

Wild Scale: 3/5

Run by brothers Xavi and Andreu Padró Mon, Larural is a 32 hectare estate of organically farmed family land in Tarragona. Ull de Llebre is the Catalan name for Tempranillo (translating literally to "eye of the hare"). This isn't the heavy, oak-laden Tempranillo you might associate with traditional Rioja; instead, it undergoes a short 48-hour skin maceration in stainless steel. The result is a vibrant, medium-bodied red bursting with bright red fruit, hints of black olive, liquorice, and a light touch of woodsmoke on the finish. Outstanding value for a versatile red that bridges late summer sipping and autumn comfort food.

3. Christian Binner – Alsace Saveurs 2024 (£24.00)

Region: Ammerschwihr, Alsace, France

Grapes: Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Riesling, Chasselas, Sylvaner, Muscat

Wild Scale: 4/5

Getting your hands on a bottle from natural wine icon Christian Binner for under £25 is always a treat. Alsace Saveurs acts as a aromatic snapshot of Binner’s biodynamic vineyards in Ammerschwihr. Bringing together almost all the traditional white varieties of the region, it strikes a wonderful balance between the crisp, razor-sharp acidity of Riesling and Sylvaner, and the texture and floral lift of Auxerrois and Muscat. Bright, and mouth-watering with a wild finish!

4. La Vrille et le Papillon – Chapeau Melon 2024 (£24.00)

Region: Valvignères, Ardèche, France

Grape: Merlot

Wild Scale: 4/5

Based in the basalt-rich soils of Valvignères in the southern Ardèche, Méryl and Géraldine Crozier craft raw, expressive wines with zero fuss. Chapeau Melon flips standard Merlot on its head: 70% of the grapes are direct-pressed while 30% undergo a short 5-day skin maceration before aging in fibreglass tanks. This technique produces a lighter-to-medium-bodied red loaded with juicy dark berry fruit, wild herbal garrigue notes, and a satisfying savoury edge. Pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes and serve slightly chilled alongside pizza, pasta, or grilled vegetables.

5. Domaine Jeandaugé – Franche Lippée 2022 (£25.00)

Region: Gascony / South West France

Grape: Syrah

Wild Scale: 3/5

Sébastien Fezas works his family's biodynamic estate in Gascony, producing wines full of energy and sense of place. "Franche Lippée" roughly translates to "Frank Sip" and this bottle delivers exactly that. Made from 100% Syrah (a mix of whole-bunch and de-stemmed fruit) fermented in concrete tanks via semi-carbonic maceration, it gives you dark fruit depth without feeling heavy or tannic. Look for crushed blackberries, subtle black pepper, cherry cola notes, and a supple, fluid texture that makes it dangerously easy to drink.
