Winemaking: Organic Grolleau and Gamay grapes were hand harvested and underwent fermentation with indigenous yeast. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.  

This Wine: Natural red wine with a light body and concentrated, delicate dark fruit flavours. Perfectly balanced with great acidity. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Mai & Kenji Hodgson work 4 hectares of vines in Rablay-Sur-Layon. They met in Vancouver before studying winemaking in Japan, eventually settling in this area of the Loire valley. Their wines are impeccably made without any additions yet this is even more potential over the coming years.
