4 New Orange Wines, £25 and Under
Four new orange wines have recently landed that all come in at £25 or under. It must be a miracle! Here's a quick breakdown so you can get stocked up in time for the next heatwave...
Brand Brothers - Orange Pur 2025
A new wine from the dynamic duo that is the Brand Brothers! Wilder Satz has been a cult classic wine for years and now we have the orange equivalent. Made from a huge field blend of grape varieties including Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, this juicy and refreshing skin contact cuvée is sure to act as a new gateway bottle for natural wine newbies.
Christina Netzl - Gelber Muskateller 2025
When it comes to bargain natural wines, they don't come much better than those from Christina. Now we have an orange wine to compliment the white Christina and the chillable red Kuhlbar. The Muscat grapes see 2 weeks of skin contact which produces a fresh but structured wine with restrained aromatics and notes of citrus, stone fruit and spice.
Chekura - Mingaco Transicion Verde 2022
We are so pleased to see the return of wines from Daniela and Pablo at Chekura in the Itata Valley in Chile. They produce honest and authentic natural wines at amazing prices and here is another example. Again made from Muscat (or Moscatel locally), from 100 year old vines (!!!) with two weeks skin contact, this showcases more of the herbal and green side of on of our favourite grape varieties.
Chekura - Mingaco Transicion Naranjo 2022
With no less than 15 months skin contact, this takes everything you love about Muscat up to higher levels! Great intensity and texture with profound tropical fruit, dried flowers and spice. We absolutely love it!
Plenty to get stuck into...
Happy drinking
