2Naturkinder's Brutal!!! Sequel

Following up on their sensational Pinot Gris debut, Michael Völker and Melanie Drese of 2Naturkinder are back with their second release under the iconic, open-source Brutal!!! banner, and this time, it’s a 2024 Riesling in magnum format.

Born from the strict zero-zero ethos established by Joan Ramon Escoda, Laureano Serres, and Antony Tortul, where winemakers craft just a single barrel with absolutely nothing added or taken away, this release came to life thanks to adverse conditions. After a severe spring frost dramatically reduced yields, the surviving grapes from a single plot emerged extraordinarily concentrated and pristine.

Michael hand-harvested the fruit and executed a whole-bunch direct press straight into a single 600-litre oak barrel. Left to age gracefully on its lees for 16 months, the wine was bottled without fining, filtration, or a single drop of added sulphur.

The result is pure Riesling magic: textured, vibrant, and driving with electric acidity, deep minerality, and serious power. At the moment available exclusively in 1.5L magnums, it’s a rare, celebratory expression of low-intervention winemaking at its absolute peak.
