Wine Club 38 Winner
Last week we hosted a very special wine club with La Ferme des Sept Lunes. Jean Delobore is the third generation to run his family farm and now he is handing things over to his daughter Aurore. It was an honour to have them presenting their wines and telling stories behind each cuvée.
We tasted 5 different bottles, 2 white and 3 red and at the end of the night it was Pleine Lune 2022 that won the vote for best tasting wine of the night. Made from Syrah grapes grown on a south facing slope that represents the warmest plot at La Ferme des Sept Lunes, this is full bodied but still remarkably fresh. Dark fruit, spice, a touch of black olive and a hint of smoke. Elegant and precise.
If you want to understand why people rave about Syrah from Saint-Joseph and the Northern Rhône in general, look no further that this wine!
Wine Club will be back in March, dates announced later this week. Until then...
Happy drinking!
